Farhan Akhtar’s sports drama Toofaan shows the actor-producer combat the role of local goon who turns his life around through boxing. He becomes a star within the ring, but a twist in fate sends him down, and it's up to people around him to assist him rise again. Mrunal Thakur is the wind under his wings as he prepares to require control his life once more .
Toofaan stars Farhan Akhtar within the lead role along side Mrunal Thakur, Paresh Rawal, Supriya Pathak Kapur, Hussain Dalal, Dr. Mohan Agashe, Darshan Kumaar and Vijay Raaz. Farhan revealed how challenging it had been to urge under the skin of his character. He said, “Toofaan may be a true labour of affection . regardless of how physically strong one is, getting into the shoes of a boxer may be a whole new ball game. It took 8 to 9 months of rigorous training on behalf of me to urge into the skin character and it made me realize how physically, mentally and emotionally demanding the game actually is. i'm thoroughly excited to ascertain all our diligence on the screen and that i am glad we are getting to be ready to take the movie to audiences across 240 countries and territories with Amazon Prime Video.”
Farhan played the role of Aziz Alia aka Ajju Bhai, who turns boxer from being a street fighter in Dongri. How he became a star and the way his life shattered after the ban forms the main crux of the film. once more , Farhan stuns us together with his physical transformation and reminds the times of Bhaag Milkha Bhaag. The trailer also makes us remember Salman Khan’s Sultan.
However, Farhan’s character is shown to be tainted by an unnamed scandal, after which he was banned from the ring for five years. it's hinted that he will make a successful comeback.
